York Road River Trip

Richmond

Our residents and helpers excitedly awaited the departure for a river boat trip to Richmond. The sun breaking through we arrived at Kingston Turks Pier in plenty of time thanks to the community bus driver. Helpful crew on hand we boarded the Yarmouth Belle and sailed our way to Richmond. It was beautiful scenery, interesting at Teddingdon Lock,it was warm enough for most of us to sit on the outer deck.

An excellent lunch was served at Jackson & Rye where we were warmly welcomed, our waitress Monica served us well. A post lunch amble, enjoying sights and sounds along the tow path while we awaited our return boat journey, and bus home. Very happy, if a little tired, well fed residents, with memories and photos of a perfect day.
