Abbeyfield Southern Oaks is a not-for-profit organisation providing accommodation for the elderly in the Epsom, Ewell, Purley, Cheam and Sutton area. As part of its operations it owns and operates sheltered housing for independent elderly residents, and operates a 60 unit independent living with care facility containing leaseholder and rented accommodation.

What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you register with us or contact us regarding our services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in volunteer activity. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
The personal data we collect will be used for the following purposes:
- Management of your employment including DBS checks
- Management of your volunteer activity including DBS checks
- Management of your resident status including financial records, and medical information pertaining to your admission application and ongoing living arrangements.
- To provide you with information about the services and facilities we offer
- To manage our commercial activities with our supply chain
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to process your employment, volunteer work, manage your request for access to the services we provide and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. ASO will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside the Society.
In processing your data, we may send your details to, and use information from credit reference agencies, and fraud prevention agencies, along with undertakings such as local authorities, medical practitioners, and care providers. We will not pass any details to these parties without your permission. Where we are asking for sensitive personal data we will always tell you why and how the information is going to be used.
